What to do in winter in Grenoble if you don't like skiing?

This year, your friends have pleaded to organize a weekend in Grenoble for skiing .
Great. Another year where you'll have to follow them on the slopes. Hello frozen fingers on the chairlift and icy powder tickling your neck.
Honestly, skiing is really not your thing . You're more into beaches, coconut trees and mint syrup. Needless to say, in winter, it's hard to find what you're looking for unless you burn your carbon footprint with a round trip to Mykonos.
In this article, we want to warn you: there is no miracle recipe to get a tan in 28°C. However, we have some solutions to keep you busy in Grenoble . It would be a shame to burn your savings plan for a day of skiing that you won't really enjoy.
I hear through the grapevine that you might even convince your buddies to trade in their skis for one of these 15 cool activities we've found for you .
1. Snowshoeing, or a great way to discover the surrounding nature while walking in the snow. What's more, it's a good thing that we've brought back some great snowshoes on Muule.fr . Whether you opt for the EVVO brand or the TSL brand, you're not going to make a mistake: their models are all great. Otherwise, for snowshoeing ideas, you'll find everything you need here .
2. Dog sledding : Bring a little bit of Lapland into your weekend by being pulled by a team of dogs through winter landscapes. We found you a site that lists contacts in Isère.
3. Sledding : Who said it was just for kids? Many ski resorts have sledding slopes. Be careful, addiction guaranteed.
4. Ice Skating: Grab your super Muule gloves and put on your skates to dance on the ice. The next figure skating Olympics are waiting for you.
5. Fatbike on snow: Fat-what? Fatbikes are bikes equipped with large tires specially designed for snowy terrain. With this, you won't risk losing your pedals.
6. Winter hiking: A classic that never disappoints. Some trails are accessible without snowshoes, simply with suitable shoes. The bad news is that we don't (yet) sell these shoes on Muule.fr. The good news is that we can equip you with all the rest of the gear: jacket , fleece , hat , heated socks , etc.
7. Cross-country skiing: If you don't like the steep slopes of downhill skiing, Cross-country skiing on flat terrain can be a more leisurely and enjoyable option. A great way to work off the raclette from the night before ;)
8. Snowtubing: As is often the case, the term is much more stylish in English. Snowtubing is a fun activity where you go down a slope in a big inflatable buoy. We have never tried it, but given the principle, we are not very worried: you should have fun.
9. Snowmobile Ride: Experience the mountains in a more dynamic way by exploring the surroundings by snowmobile.
10. Spa and wellness: Take advantage of the many spas often available in ski resorts. Between massages, hot baths, saunas or hammams, or even sometimes thermal springs offering heated outdoor pools. If you were waiting for a sign to pamper yourself, here it is. It's good because you're worth it.
11. Village tour: Explore the surrounding mountain villages, discover local architecture, artisan shops, art galleries, and taste local specialties.
12. Museums and cultural centers: Some ski resorts have museums about the history of the mountain, local flora and fauna or art exhibitions. It's time to get cultured, Kevin.
13. Visit an Alpine farm: Perfect for curious little foodies. Discover the life of farmers in the mountains, with tastings of cheese, charcuterie or local products.
14. Escape game: Nothing better than these indoor or outdoor escape games, suitable for groups or families. A good way to test the strength of your relationships.
15. Game rooms and bowling: Ideal for having a fun time, some resorts offer areas with arcade games, billiards or bowling alleys.
In short, you have a lot of possible activities if you don't like skiing. When we think of winter sports we often think of skiing, while there are a multitude of them and for all tastes . Well, spa activities or tasting local specialties don't count in this, we agree.
In any case, with this checklist you should have something to keep you busy during the day while waiting for your skiing buddies. And we bet you'll have at least as much fun as they do.
You'll tell us, huh?
