Why do we validate?
- For the variety of landscapes between the Velay volcanoes, the Allier gorges and the Aubrac plateau, not to mention the sumptuous villages through which the path passes. How beautiful our France is!

- Puy-en-Velay is accessible by train from Lyon (allow 2h30)
- For those who prefer to travel without a tent, there are pilgrim lodges at each stage of the section.
- The difficulty of the walk is moderate
- The GR 65 is so well marked that there is no need to take a map... even for those with a questionable sense of direction.
