Statut obtained by SCARPA at the Muule barometer
This year, Scarpa is rethinking its range of ski touring boots by presenting the Quattro SL .
The Quattro range was developed to maintain the lightness of a ski touring boot with the support of an alpine boot. The shell and collar are made of Pebax Renew, a lightweight material offering a very good compromise between flexibility and support, also produced from renewable resources. The carbon inserts provide dynamism and more precision. The Alpine Axial Hybrid construction is made up of 4 hooks connected on the side of the shell, this allows a precise adjustment on the front of the foot, the support is perfect and the hooks allow the most precise adjustment.
The up/down transition system is made of aluminum, it is easy and quick to use, even with gloves. This new mechanism from the Italian brand offers optimal freedom of movement in the walking position. The Presa sole developed by Scarpa allows you to tackle technical terrain thanks to its very good grip, its Gripwalk certification allows you to switch from ski touring to alpine skiing. The Powerstrap has the Recco safety system for more peace of mind in the mountains.
The Quattro is the ultimate tool for those looking for performance and comfort both when hiking and in the Alps.
This shoe is a reconditioned model, light wear, approximately 10 outings. More information on request: contact@muule.eu
Adding a specific sole to a ski touring boot is of crucial importance for several reasons.
It improves arch support and weight distribution across the foot, which is essential during long ascents and descents on ski touring.
Next, a well-adapted sole reduces the risk of blisters, discomfort and foot fatigue, allowing the skier to concentrate fully on their technique and their environment.
Additionally, it can help properly align the foot, ankle and knee, reducing the risk of injury. A specific sole provides better thermal insulation, keeping feet warm in cold and wet snow conditions.
In short, it contributes significantly to the overall ski touring experience by improving comfort, performance and safety. SIDAS offers these products, they are available on our site.
